This is an oil painting 24×30, that was a practice piece, as I am really trying to up my game in technique.

The lighting on the painting is from my phone as I have not scanned this for proper prints or viewing. This, too me, is a fail. Not a favorite, but I like it anyway. I want to practice painting art that looks more realistic when it comes to people and landscape, (maybe mixed with abstract too,) rather than everything looking like all my little people illustrations. It is all about the strokes. I can either practice technique in hyper realism or more with loose strokes. Well, I will get there eventually.

It is more difficult when you are painting imaginative realism, there really are no references except what I have seen in my visions! I used no references as usual, for some reason I never taught myself to use references! I think that would help!
